Oak Creek, formerly of Caledonia. Passed away in South Milwaukee on Friday, April 19, 2002, Age 85 years. He was born in Franklin, WI. on Oct. 10, 1916 to John A. and JaneNee NinnemannDavitz. He was united in Marriage to Edna Nee Schwartz on February 10, 1979 in Cudahy, WI. He was a steel cutter at Bell City Castings Company for 35years. He was a member of St.John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Oak Creek, a member of the Oak Creek Historical Society, a member of the Oak Creek Senior Citizens Club and on the Board of Directors of Independent Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Edna A.Nee SchwartzDavitz; daughters, Judith A.KennethMcLees, JanisDaleWillms, and Joycethe late WilliamSchultz; son, Harold Jr. MaryDavitz; grandfather of 11, and great grandfather of 22. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wives, GertrudeNee Franke and HarrietNee Ryddner;his sons James E. Davitz and John J. Davitz; his parents, John A. Davitz and JaneNee Ninnemann; his sisters, Meta Dallmann and Edna Muska; and his brother, John O.H. Davitz. Funeral services will be at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 10302 S. 27th St., Oak Creek on tuesday April 23, at 11:00 AM. with Rev. Dale Reckzin, Officiating. Burial will be in Independent Cemetery in Oak Creek. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 4 until 8PM and at the church on tuesday from 10AM until the time of service 11AM. If so desired, memorials to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church Building Fund is appreciated.
