Hal Prey, aged 93, of Greendale, died peacefully on February 14th surrounded by family. Beloved husband for 68 years of Jeanne. Loving father of Gregory, Christopher, Lisa (Patrick) and Douglas (Patti); proud ‘Grandpop’ of Nicholas (Jenna), Megan (Kalen), Hillary (Scott), Julia, David, Stephen, Emily and Allison; Great-Grandfather of Alexa and Charlotte.

Hal graduated cum laude in 1950 from Marquette University after serving in the Navy in World War II. He worked for 34 years in corporate public relations for Wisconsin Bell. In his retirement, he worked as contributing editor for Reminisce magazine. He also wrote the book, Greendale, The Little Village That Could-and Did. He was an active member of St. Alphonsus Parish and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society. A memorial will be held with family and friends at a later date.

Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 6th at 11:00. Visitation will begin at 9:30.
