Grandfather of Eric, Melissa, Matthew and Ellen Merten and Craig and Scott Thompson. Brother of ElmerAdelineMerten and Ruth Gaulke. Brother-in-law of ArnoldRuthRistow. Also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and many special friends. Funeral Service Sunday, March 11 at 4:00PM at Divine Peace Ev. Lutheran Church, 3203 S. 76th St. Private Interment Good Hope Cemetery. In state Sunday at the church from 1PM until the time of Service4PM. Mr. Merten owned and operated Merten’s Shoe Service in West Allis for 40 years. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Lukes Medical Center for their caring service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Divine Peace Ev. Lutheran Church appreciated.
