To the family of “Ma” Barker ~ I was so saddened to hear of Gerri’s death. I worked with Gerri in the Milorganite department of MMSD and had many fun years with her. I enjoyed hearing the stories of her family and learning from her. She was a mom to many of us and was greatly missed after her retirement.
Please accept my sincere condolences and know that she touched the lives of those she met. She was truly an exceptional woman.

So sorry to hear about your Mom. Aunt Gerri will always be a special person to me, her laughter and sense of humor will be with me forever. I remember looking forward to my visits with the “Milwaukee Barker’s” either in Milwaukee or when you loaded up the station wagon and came north. How she ever organized all of you and did those trips was amazing, and you spilled out of the car laughing and having a great time! Such fond memories! Take care all of you! Your cuz – A1

Please know that our hearts are with you and your Mom and your family. Your loving care for her was the best blessing for her. I finally figured out why I liked her so much – she had more kids than me but she was still happy! I will always remember her.

Sorry to hear about your mom. She was a nice person. Karen and I will be grandchild sitting in Iowa, so can’t attend, she will be in our thoughts and prayers. My memories of your mom always center around her sense of humor, and my mind will always see (and hear) her laughing. Mark Barker
