Gerald “Jerry” G. Dittrich

Gerald “Jerry” G. Dittrich, 86, of Oak Creek, WI, peacefully passed away on January 15, 2024.

Born in Sheboygan, WI, to Oscar and Juliana Dittrich from Germany, Jerry spent his formative years in Cudahy alongside his 2 brothers, Oscar (Buzz) and John, and sister Merri Ann. In 1957, Jerry was drafted into the Army, where he served as a dedicated medic.

In 1962, he married his high school sweetheart, Karen Schultz. Jerry and Karen were blessed with two children, Cathy and Tom. For most of his adult life, Jerry resided on a farm, where he indulged in one of his favorite pastimes—attending auctions.

Jerry is survived by his devoted wife Karen, daughter Cathy, and three grandsons—Eric, Jacob, and David. His legacy lives on through five great-grandchildren—Makayla, Michael, Madelynn, Margaret, and Fiona. He is preceded in death by his brother John and son Tom.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 10 am – 11 am at ST. MATTHEW PARISH (9303 S Chicago Rd, Oak Creek) with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow in the “little brick church”. Interment Forest Hill Memorial Park.
