Popa, Frank A. Passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of Irene K. nee Fisher. Dear father of Frank Melanie Popa, James Popa, Paul Linda Popa, Terry, Ronald Sandy, Mike, Richard Judy, Russ, Patty Kotlarek. Further survived by 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Vernice, brother-in-law Bud Marsha, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM, at OKLAHOMA AVENUE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5335 W. Oklahoma Ave. A Memorial visitation will be held Saturday at the Church from 1 PM until time of service 2 PM. Inurnment Monday at 10:30 AM at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Frank was a long time Electrician for the City of Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran Church would be appreciated. Jeff & I were saddened to hear of Frank’s passing. He was my cousin my Dad was Frank’s dad’s brother Edmund. Frank was a valuable source of information about the Popa family. Every time we had a family gathering, I could always rely on Frank to teach me something new about the Popa’s. We will miss that knowledge.

Frank & Irene were our neighbors at Armour Court. We enjoyed summer evenings sitting on the patio and visiting with Frank, he had so many stories to share and had a way of making them fascinating to listen to. From the short time we knew him we know he was a kindhearted soul, was always there to help even when his sight was failing. Our prayers go out to Irene and the entire family.
