Frances Flegner 

Entered home into heaven at age 97 and reunited with her late husband, Wilbert. Proud mother of the late Cheryl Smiltneek, Linda (Andrew) Smiltneek, Stephen (Judy) Flegner, Krista (Joseph) Seefeld, and mother-in-law to Martin Smiltneek. Fond grandmother to Matthew, Sarah, Eric, Andrea, Francie, Nikki, Alex, Jacob, Philip, Michael, and Emily. Adoring great-grandmother to 19 great-grandchildren. Beloved friend to Sally. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.  

She lived, loved, and laughed and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 10 – 11 am at THE CHAPEL OF CHIMES AT WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK (13235 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI) with a funeral service at 11 am. Entombment to follow. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Oshkosh Public Museum are appreciated.
