Passed away Sun. Sept. 1, 2002 at age 82. Born October 29, 1919 in San Antonio, TX, Floyd spent his childhood in Milwaukee. On January 22, 1949 Floyd married his wife Estelle. Floyd resided in East Troy for over 50 years.
He worked in construction as an iron worker, he owned Surridge Erecting, he worked in home construction, he was a building inspector for the Town of Troy and then for the Village of East Troy for 26 years. He also owned Floyd?s Tap in the late 40?s and early 50?s as well as working as a driver for Trent Tube for many years. Floyd was an active member and a Past President in the Lions Club, the American Legion and served on the Board of Directors for the Oak Ridge Cemetery Association. Floyd served in World War II in the South Pacific Theater 2nd Division Marine Corps. He was also a member of St. Peter?s Catholic Church.

Survived by daughters Connie the late Gary Greeson, Karen Mae Ken Borkowski; Grandchildren April Eric Printz, ,Michael Greeson, David Sheryl Surridge-Hapka, Sarah Mae, Andrew Steven and Laura Ann; Great-Grandchildren Brianna, Jacob, Branden Floyd and Nicholas; Step-Great-Grandson Christopher; and Beloved Companion Joyce Ketchpaw. Floyd is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years Estelle ?Toody? and his son-in-law Gary Greeson. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:30 am with a visitation from 9:30 to the time of service at St. Peter?s Catholic Church 1981 Beulah Avenue, East Troy.
