Hi Dennis, Christine and Family.

So sad to hear of your Dad’s passing. No matter what the circumstances it is very hard to lose one of your parents, It not only takes away someone we love, it makes us realize our days on this planet are not guaranteed. You and your family have my deepest sympathy.

Your Painter,

Sherry Gac

We are SO sorry to hear of Gene’s passing. I know that he is now dancing with Jesus. As long as I can remember, he, along with Clarissa, were there for our family. They both helped my Mom so much after Dad passed away. A huge ‘Thank you’ to the both of them for being the quiet support and wonderful friends to our family throughout our growing-up years. Hugs to you all. I do remember that he was a wonderful prayer warrior…taught me alot, many moons ago. I still carry those wonderful memories with me, along with his gentle smile. Take care. Love, hugs, and prayers.

Uncle Gene was first and foremost a humble servant of God. He was blessed with a spirit of curiosity and mischief. He was always interested in what was going on in your life. He always honored, and respected, and reverenced what you were up to. He encouraged and supported us. He delighted in other’s accomplishments. He called me “Billy” until I left for the seminary, then he called me Bill. On the day I was ordained 38 years ago on June 9, 1979 I was honored to have him call me “Father Bill”. He moved me to tears at his humility and devotion. We have been so blessed in having a red-headed “Irish Uncle”. He gave so much to our family. He was a treasure and a gift to us. My sympathy to the cousins. My prayer for you is sent across the miles. Pray for us now Uncle Gene. Requiescat in pace. Dance in the arms of your sweetheart, Clarissa. Fr. Bill Hubmann

When I think of Uncle Gene the first word that comes to mind is kind. From my earliest recollections as a child to the last visit we had with Uncle Gene -he was always interested in hearing how you were- what was going on in your life- always with a kind word and gentle laugh. May you rest in the Light of Christ Uncle Gene. Patty
