I have such fond memories of my dear “Aunt” Ellen. She was such an amazing woman, so kind, and gentle. She always greeted me with a hug and her beautiful smile. My sincere sympathy to “Uncle” Fred and the entire Kohlhapp family. I hope that she and my dad are singing a tune together in heaven. Love and hugs to you all. Maureen (Torpy) Miller

I knew Ellen most of my life as we all lived in Bay View and I had the pleasure of being part of her extended family for a while. Ellen was always a pleasure to spend time with as she had wisdom beyond that never quit. My thoughts and sympathy to everyone in the family missing her. Keep all the great memories with you.

I don’t know where to start. She was the calmest, most even, loving, and caring women. I practically grew up in that house on New York Avenue, and she always made me feel like I belonged there. My love, condolences, and prayers to every member of the Kohlhapp family.

Ellen was a very special woman of faith…her love was known by everyone she came in contact with! Her friends, her children, and her beloved husband Fred will miss her laughter, her tenderness, and her very loving ways!
I am greatful to have known her, she was a charming and strong woman, a warrior for life!
May the family be content in knowing that they were loved and reared by a woman of great moral standards and an example of what womanhood should be! Her family meant the world to her and she proved this by witnessing her “brood” grow up to be the strong, loving, people they are! Her grandchildren have always been her delight and pride of life!
May you all continue to make your family name proud!
Be comforted in knowing that she knew the savior of mankind Jesus and that she honored Him through her life!
