Eleanore Brielmaier

September 10, 1930 – April 23, 2022

At 9am on April 23rd 2022 the sun broke through the clouds and God called Eleanore Brielmaier home. There she was reunited with her late husband and great love, George Brielmaier.

Eleanore was born on September 10, 1930 in Racine, Wisconsin to parents Steven and Mary Wolf. She was raised there with her two Brothers, Lewis (Barbara) and Robert (Nola).  She tragically lost her father, with whom she was very close, at the age of sixteen.  She went on to marry her first husband, Harold Anderson, with whom she had a daughter Kathleen (Harris Nielsen).  They remained close friends throughout his life, even after the marriage ended.  She went on to have two other children, Steven and Elizabeth, with her second husband, George Brielmaier.

Her Parents, Brothers, Sister-in-law Nola, Son-in-law Harris and Husbands, Harold and George, all proceeded her in death.  She is survived by her children, Kathy, Steve and Betsy, her grandchildren, Joshua, Zeric, Elizabeth and Zachary, her sister-in-law’s Barbara Wolf and Mae Brielmaier and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

When Eleanore was young, she worked as a telephone operator. Then while living in Kenosha during her first marriage, she was a skilled seamstress, making custom Drapes for JC Penney’s.  Always very stylish, she made much of her own clothing as well as that of her children.  During this time, she also enjoyed ladies’ clubs, doing various crafts and cooking.

After her first marriage Eleanore moved to Milwaukee and married George Brielmaier, who passed away after a long battle with cancer when she was 48.  She had various jobs while raising her younger children before moving to Neillsville, after the kids had grown.  There she worked as a Dietary Aide at the Neillsville Hospital for 20 years before retiring and coming back to Milwaukee.

Eleanore loved to cook and was famous for her homemade pies, a perfect recipe she was always trying to perfect.  Her love of cooking translated into a love of good food.  She always enjoyed a great home cooked meal or going out to eat with family and friends.  Her favorite times were spent with family.  Eleanore loved her children and adored her grandchildren and she was always happiest in their company.
