Eileen Mae Stewart
Eileen Mae Stewart (nee Lang) made it home for the holidays and entered into heaven on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the age of 92. She is joyfully reunited with her best friend and husband, Lee.
Eileen was a longtime resident of Oak Creek, Wis., a lady who loved others and walked faithfully with the Lord. She was the beloved wife of Lee K. Stewart. They first met as teenagers before Lee entered the service and were happily married soon after his return. Their sixty-year marriage was a testament to their ever-growing devotion. As she always showcased, they were “good to each other,” leaving a legacy of love.
Eileen was the mother of Deb (Bob) Davis and Lori (Dan) Riegleman. Loving grandmother of Paul (Julie) Davis, Christopher (Rachel) Davis, Jesse (Brenna) Davis, Jarod (Claudia) Minnickel, Courtney (Nick Hortsman) Minnickel, Janel (Drew) O’Shaughnessy and Ross Riegleman. She delighted in her 12 great-grandchildren.
She spent her career at the Carrollton Elementary School Library in the Oak Creek/Franklin School District, sharing her passion for books with students. She enjoyed reading until the very end of her life. Eileen was an active member at Oak Creek Community United Methodist Church for most of her life.
She had incredible strength and bravely faced Parkinson’s Disease for over thirteen years. Even when her body betrayed her, her spirit remained free of complaint. She met every day with grace.
Her happiest moments were spent with loved ones, sitting outside in her sun hat and sunglasses, enjoying time Up North, cheering on the Brewers, and indulging in a variety of desserts. Nothing compared to her homemade rhubarb kuchen or brownies—her secret to perfect brownies was taking them out of the oven a few minutes early and dusting the top with powdered sugar. She will be remembered with love, “a bushel and a peck.”
The family extends their gratitude to the caregivers for the compassion they provided to Eileen.

I remember all the wonderful times Eileen and Lee spent with our parents, the Richters, the Burnsides, and the Getzins. We kids called them the ‘Rabble Rowsers’. Our condolences to the whole family. Shelly, Mike and Merrilee Mahn.
