Mr Alf was one of my favorite teachers. He always made himself available after school to help me with Algebra. I’ll never forget how one day he noticed something was wrong and talked with me about a personal problem I was having and helped me find a way to resolve it. Furthermore he made a point to ask me about it later down the road. Rest In Peace Mr Alf💕

I, too, was blessed by Mr. Alf as an Algebra teacher. I struggled greatly with Algebra as a freshman in high school at NB West. I was transferred to Mr. Alf’s class for 2nd semester and was able to actually understand what I was learning. I was always grateful to him for his patience, respect, and ability to simplify. Thank you, Mr. Alf. You made me feel like I could actually “do” math!

Rick, Randy, Cindy, and Michael and families – Just wanted to express my condolences at the passing of your Dad. I was out of town at that time and came across the obituary as I was catching up on my stack of newspapers. Thoroughly enjoyed my experiences with him as a football coach and teacher, as well as a very good friend of my Mom and Dad. Thoughts and prayers to all of you. – MIke Skemp
