Of Oak Creek, WI(formerly of Peoria, IL), passed away on July 27, 2016. He was born August 13, 1930 to Dr. Claude and Mary Champion Temple in Mattoon, IL. He married JoAnne Lehmann 63 years ago on July 5, 1953 in Peoria.

Doug’s family includes his wife JoAnne; his 3 sons, Todd of San Francisco, Tom(Susan) of Glencoe, IL, and David(Barbara) of Burlington, WI; his 6 grandchildren, Amanda(Joshua) Walker, Andrew(Hannah) Temple, Jonathan and Christopher Temple, Eric(Dana) Vasquez and Karrmin(Andy) Temple; his sister Mary Frances McElfresh; his brother Roger David Temple; the Lam and Chung families; and great-grandchildren.

Doug attended Charleston High School in Charleston, IL. He graduated from Bradley University and had a 38 year career in accounting at WABCO/Komatsu. He served stateside in the Air Force during the Korean War. Doug was extremely involved at First United Methodist Church in Peoria for over 60 years. He was a dedicated volunteer at his church, YMCA and South-West Kiwanis. He was an avid golfer, jogger, and loyal Cubs fan. He enjoyed traveling to adventurous places around the world.

Services to celebrate Doug’s life will be held Saturday, August 13th. Burial will be 11AM at Forest Hill Memorial Park, 3301 E. Forest Hill Ave., Oak Creek, WI. Visitation from 12-1PM followed by a Memorial Service at 1PM, both at Faith Community Church, 7700 W. Faith Dr., Franklin, WI.
