DOROTHY J. WELCH
Town of Raymond – Mrs Dorothy J. nee Pardee Welch, 85, passed away at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Racine on Monday September 8, 2003. She was born in Janesville on June 5, 1918 to Llewellyn Pardee and Hattie nee Ungerand had been a lifelong resident of the Town of Raymond. On July 26, 1941, in Janesville, she was united in marriage to Franklin E., who preceeded her in death in November of 1989.
In 1953, Dorothy and Franklin opened the A&W in the Town of Raymond and the business is still operated by their son, Frank Welch. Dorothy was an active and proud member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church on Oakwood Road in Oak Creek. She was an active, loving, and caring mother, grandmother and great- grandmother.
Surviving are her daughters, Lilly Norbert Bankenbush of Sundance, Wyo., Pamela Martin Rakauskas of Racine, and Debra Correll of Oak Creek; sons Robert Barbara Welch of Town of Raymond, Ronald Diane Welch of Union Grove, Frank Sharon Welch of Sturtevant, and Mark Janice Welch of Town of Raymond; 20 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and sister Ruth Kramer of Florida. Sister-in-law of Doris Pardee of Janesville. Further survived by other sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Llewellyn Pardee and Hattie nee Unger; husband, Franklin E. ; one son David John Welch; a granddaughter, Vicki Lynn Bankenbush; and two brothers, Alain and Clarence Pardee.
Funeral Services will be held at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10302 South 27th Street, 27th and Oakwood Road, on Saturday, September 13, 2003 , at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dale Reckzin officiating. Burial will be in the McPherson Cemetery in the Town of Raymond. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Memorials to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran School appreciated.
