I can remember when Gary, Glenn and myself were at the Metzger household in our Walt Whitman days. I can still see the three of us at each other’s houses. I was in my late 30’s or so and happen to be in Milwaukee for training. All three of us showed up at the house in Hales Corners. That was wild. I knew this happened before never thought it would happen again. Take comfort that your mother is in God’s hands. I do myself with my parents. Thank you to Chuck and Doreen you are a part of me and thank you for being in my life.

Doreen and chuck were always so kind and fun to be with when we were at their home enjoying the pool or having a holiday meal with Scott’s family. So fortunate to have known them. Rest In Peace Doreen you are now with the angels

My profound sympathy and prayers to Doreen’s children. As one of the Reiter family who grew up at Oklahoma Ave. Lutheran Church, I remember Gary and Scott being in my brothers’ classes but also Paul who was in my Confirmation and Hamilton class. Some of the Metzger boys graciously came to our mother’s (Viola Reiter) funeral on 2/12/2017. Doreen is now home with God in heaven and joins Chuck.

    Blessings,

    Chris Reiter

It is wonderful to know that Doreen was taken into Heaven by the angels and welcomed by the Lord Jesus. She and Chuck are together again. What a blessing! I worked with Chuck and Doreen many years ago and enjoyed those days very much. I still think of those days with fondness. Doreen and Chuck were very kind lovely people. I am glad I had the privilege of knowing them. And I know we’ll meet again in Heaven.
