Donna M.
Bergeron
Donna M. Bergeron of Oak Creek, age 85, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025. She has now been reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of more than 60 years, James Leo Bergeron, whom she adored.
Donna was a devoted mother to her son Marc and her daughter and best friend Karen. She was the loving grandmother of Tony, Michael, Amanda, and Andre. She is further survived by her special nieces Dawn and Geri, and dear friends Barb and Eric, Elizabeth, and Dr. Brad.
Donna had a tender heart for all creatures great and small. She shared her home with her feline companion, Candie Girl, and held in her heart the memory of her cherished cat Pope and the many Yorkie terriers she adored over the years—each affectionately named Dickens. Her love for animals didn’t stop at her doorstep; she was Oak Creek’s unofficial Snow White, known for preparing peanut butter sandwiches with the crusts cut off and offering gourmet nuts to the squirrels, rabbits, birds, and any creature lucky enough to cross her path.
Her green thumb was legendary. A regular at Milaeger’s, Donna could never resist filling her car to the brim with flowers, often driving home with plants on her lap. Her yard was a masterpiece, admired by neighbors and passersby alike.
Elegant in every sense, Donna was known for her perfect hair, polished nails, and flawless makeup. She had an effortless grace about her and was always beautifully dressed. She was greatly enjoyed playing piano, often filling her home with favorite Elton John melodies.
Throughout her working life, Donna brought warmth and professionalism to every role. She spent over 25 years as a secretary at Brentwood Veterinary Office, a perfect match for her love of animals. Before that, she worked as a switchboard operator for a hotel, a trucking company, and was a proud Kelly Girl, even earning Kelly Girl of the Year.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, (9200 S. 27th St., Oak Creek). A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 PM. Private entombment to take place at Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Our deepest sympathies to Donna’s family and all who loved her. At Brentwood she would always take the time to smile, say hi and ask how each of our dogs was doing. Donna would stop to chat when we ran into her around Oak Creek. She was very upbeat and it was always a pleasure to see her. She was one of those people that could easily brighten one’s day after talking with her even if the chat lasted only a few moments.
