Donetza “Donna” Emma Stannard

(formerly Smoller) (formerly Holley)

Donetza was proud of her heritage and family name, the last surviving child of Harold R. Stannard and Mary J. (nee Masich). She was the third child born March 26,1937 in Sparta, WI. Donetza departed this life on September 13, 2026 at the age of 89.

In December of 1937, Donetza was awarded honorable mention in a children’s photo contest in Minneapolis, MN sponsored by Photo Craft Studio. Donetza modeled for a living in Chicago, IL in the mid to late 1950’s. Her legs were insured for a million dollars during her modeling career.

Donetza worked as a legal assistant and secretary in Chicago, IL. Donetza was also a licensed notary and took her career very seriously. In 2015, Donetza’s membership was approved by the National Association of Professional Women because of her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession.

Donetza was artistic, loved to read, sew clothing, dance, swim, ice skate, and ski. Her favorite season was fall.

Donetza was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Harold Stannard Jr, Lowel Stannard, and Rosemary Schelieve (Ralph).

Donetza has been graced with the living legacy of her children Laura D. Foth (Todd) and Lawrence Lawton-Smoller (nee Smoller), her Grandchildren, and Great-Grandchildren.

A private memorial will be held at a future date in honor of her life.
