Sell, Donald F., D.D.S.
Born to Eternal Life on July 28, 2012 at the age of 89 in St. Francis, WI. Formerly of Celina, OH and Holiday, Florida. Don moved to Milwaukee, WI in 2005. The son of the late William A. and Grace L. nee Gugel Sell, he was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 28, 1923. Don attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH and graduated from the University of Detroit Dental School in 1947. He married Joan Marie Jacob of Detroit on January 24, 1948; she preceded him in death in 2000. Dr. Sell served in the Air Force as a Captain during the Korean War from 1952-1954. He was a well respected dentist and oral surgeon in Ohio for 30 years before retiring due to osteoarthritis. Don and his wife Joan retired to Florida where he worked in the motel industry for many years before moving to Milwaukee in 2005.

Don is survived by four children Donald M. the late Madeline of Shadow Hills, CA, Mary L. James Hawk of Celina, OH, Sister Nancy A. Sell, OSF of St. Francis, WI, and Daniel J. Cheryl of Medway, OH. He is further survived by five grandchildren, Catherine Jon Gorzynski of Denver, CO, D. Jeffrey Sell of San Diego, CA, Kevin Sell of Shadow Hills, CA, Joseph Sell of Wauwatosa, WI, and Jennifer Sell of Medway, OH. He is survived by his sisters-in-law Dorothy Jane Sell of Charlevoix, MI and Genny Jacob Wilbur of New Port Richey, FL, brother-in-law Homer Wulbrecht of Chesterfield, MI and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his brothers William E. and Robert M. and daughter-in-law Madeline Valencia Sell.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph Convent Chapel, School Sisters of St. Francis, 1501 S. Layton Blvd. 27th Street Milwaukee, WI at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 3, 2012. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of Mass at 11:00AM. A Committal Service and Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio at a later date.

Don is grateful for the seven wonderful years he lived at Juniper Court Senior apartments sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi. Memorials in Don’s name may be made to the Canticle and Juniper Courts Foundation, 3221 S. Lake Dr. St. Francis WI 53235 or to the School Sisters of St. Francis Development Office, 1501 S. Layton Blvd. Milwaukee, WI 53215.
