Grandpa is so deeply missed. I have many memories of him in Oceanside with Grandma, taking walks to the college nearby, or having lunch at the German Deli. My family and I will remember these times always, but I will also remember his affection, love and faith. He never questioned God in the face of loss, or doubted His will when life turned in a new direction. He was not a boastful man, so I doubt he knew of his witness, but it is something I will remember, hold onto, and teach to Madeleine.
