Pankow, Donald A., Sr.
of Caledonia. Passed away Friday, July 2, 2004, age 73 years. Beloved husband of Sarah nee Pulice. Dear father of Donald Jr. Donna, Gregory and Colin Gean Pankow. Loving grandfather of Matthew, Jessica, Anthony, Colin Jr. and Olivia. Brother of Ruth Highman and Wayne JoAnn Pankow. Further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Lena nee Huven, a sister Shirley DeRosa and a brother Kyrle Pankow.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 7, 10:00 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church, 13207 County Trunk G Hwy G and I-94 – meet directly at the Church. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8:00 PM at the Funeral Home with a Parish Prayer Vigil at 7:00 PM.
Don was proud to be owner operator of Don’s Food Market in Franksville for more than 50 years. He also served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was very active throughout the community, the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, the Franksville Business Association, the American Legion Harvey Funk Post #494, Caledonia Lions Club and the St. Louis Parish Council. Don loved being a pilot, the leader of the Don Pankow Polka Band, hunting, fishing, tending his horses and going to his cabin.
