Dolly Mae Schreiner
March 29, 2025, age 94 years. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob Schreiner and her dear friend Roy Ramskugler. Loving mother of Deb (Scott) Bramow and Mike (Laurie Slagg) Schreiner. Dear grandmother of Michael (Kim), Becky, Ryan, Jesse, and Steve (Jamie). Fond great-grandmother of Taylor, Cameron, Gina, Amber, Eli, and Madelyn. Proud great-great-grandmother of Caleb. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Dolly Mae, along with her husband Bob, owned and operated Schreiner’s Waste Oil for almost 25 years. She was an integral part of the business, taking care of all the accounting duties.
Dolly Mae and Bob shared so many of the same interests and their outgoing personalities endeared them to so many. They were quite good at square dancing, traveling to many conventions over the years. Dolly Mae was an accomplished seamstress and would make matching outfits for them to wear for competitions – they were always one of the best dressed couples on the dance floor.
Dolly Mae and Bob had a love for travel. They would spend two weeks in Aruba every year for 20 years. Since they went at the same time every year and always stayed at the same place, they ended up seeing many of the same people every year. So many of these people became dear friends.
Dolly Mae and Bob also loved going to Las Vegas – going two or three times a year – where Dolly Mae’s favorite game was craps. Maybe it was her love of travel or maybe it had a little bit to do with her enjoyment of a fun evening at the craps table that got Dolly Mae and Bob hopping on the large cruise ships over the years – they enjoyed cruising in the Caribbean and even cruised to Alaska.
Dolly Mae and Bob also vacationed a little closer to home – they had a cottage on Lake Lucerne near Crandon where they would spend warm summer days boating and enjoying everything that beautiful Northern Wisconsin had to offer.
Dolly Mae had some interests of her own. She was never wasteful and would use her excess fabric to make patchwork quilts. She also used her sewing skills to make hunting apparel for the guys and other clothing for her family. She was a decent golfer and was part of a ladies group which would golf the various county courses. She also had a love for dark chocolate.
Dolly Mae was devastated when her Bob died in 2008. When the house got to be too big for Dolly Mae, she moved to New Perspective in Franklin where she adapted to her new home nicely – taking advantage of many of the social activities – she especially loved playing cards and Bingo with the ladies. With her friendly personality, she easily made great friends here as well – especially her good friend Beverly, and her table mates Jo Anne, Kathryn and Mary.
Her family meant everything to Dolly Mae. She made many sacrifices over the years and worked hard to ensure her family had the best she could provide, but more importantly that they felt loved and appreciated.
Dolly Mae will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
My deepest condolences Deb and family. She sure had a rich, fun loving life. Full of trips and activities! Now she and Bob
can continue their journey together. 🙏❤️
We will miss Dolly she was part of our lives for many years. She was a great companion to my Dad after the loss of my Mom. We will miss her smile!
Debbie, Mike and family.
I love your obituary for your mom. I have many good memories of times they came to Minnesota, and times we were in So. Milwaukee. I especially remember George and Adeline‘s 50th ( I think) wedding anniversary at your mom and dad‘s house. It was a fun day. Dolly Mae will be missed.

Our deepest sympathy to Dolly Mae’s family. We were privileged to meet her and enjoy her company through our brother Roy. Our prayers are with you all.
