Luttkus, Diane Louise (nee Lorenz)

died May 13, 2018 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the age of 82. She was wife of the late Otto Luttkus, and mother to Thomas Luttkus and Kathryn (John) Craffey. She was a daughter to the late Anna K. Lorenz (nee Stieber) and Harold M. Lorenz and granddaughter to the late Josephine (nee Weinrauch) and George Stieber and Martha and Herman Lorenz.

Diane was born on February 3, 1936 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and was one of five siblings that included Jean (George) Gerharz, the late Harold, the late Thomas and the late Mary (Glenn) Kurtz. She worked at Wigwam Mills in Sheboygan until she wed her husband, Otto, on August 29, 1959 in a ceremony at Holy Name Church in Sheboygan. Diane endured the loss of two children, Timothy and Laura, due to Rh factor incompatibility. She was a longtime member, lector, and school volunteer at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee.

A wake will be held at 5 pm before the celebration of Diane’s life at 6 pm on May 18, 2018 at Heritage Funeral Home, 3801 South Howell, Milwaukee. All friends and family are welcome. Burial will take place at Wood National Cemetery, 5000 W. National Ave., Milwaukee, beside her husband Otto’s grave on Friday May 25th at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Ann’s Intergenerational Care Stein Campus, 2801 E. Morgan Ave, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53207, where Diane spent the last months of her life enjoying time with staff and residents.
