When I married Doug 21 years ago in Germany before meeting any of his family I was unsure of how my acceptance would be.Upon arrival in Wisconsin we were anxiously awaited by Dawn who immediately made me feel welcomed to the family. Over the years she always made me feel like a daughter-not a daughter-in-law!Her care and show of concern for everyone and the pride she had in her family are just some of her many attributes. She will truly be missed by all of her friends and family. Our memories of her will always be.

I didn’t get to see her but once or twice a year, but I always looked forward to her visits, and her cooking. She always seemed to have time for me. She made me feel loved, no matter what it was that she did. And her laugh I will never forget.

I will always love you grandma.
