Colonel Harmon was in the Wisconsin Air National Guard 1954–1955, a Vietnam Veteran, retired after 31 and a half years of Air Force service, a pilot for American Airlines, Scott Air Charter . . . if it had wings, he flew it. Primarily a C130 pilot, he also flew fighter jets, several commercial and private models.
