David
Mathea

David Mathea reached his resting peace on September 22 after a 5 year battle with cancer. He has been reunited with his parents, Victor and Mavis. He is survived by his dear siblings Michael (late Joy) Mathea and Mary (Dave) Agacki, his aunts up north,  favorite niece Ashley (Anthony) Wychules, and the light of his final months, great-niece Charlotte Wychules. He is also survived by cousins other relatives and friends.

David was a graduate of Marquette University and proud to be part of the Equal Opportunity Program. He was an avid horse racing fan and cherished his annual trips to Churchill Downs.

Special thanks to Dr. Wong and Froedtert for their care over the past few years, as well as Zilber Hospice by providing him comfort in his final days.

David is finally enjoying the never-ending Kentucky Derby weekend he always wanted!

Private services being held.

I was very sad to hear the news of Dave’s passing and though I haven’t seen him in many years I’ve always considered him a friend. We spent many a Saturday afternoon over a few cold ones at our favorite local establishments, I will always remember him fondly. Our thoughts and prayers to his family.
