David Clarence Drury passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2018 at the age of 81.

David was born August 18, 1937 in Eau Claire, WI to Marshall and Jesse Drury (nee: Sorensen). Moved to Milwaukee in the early 1960’s. Loving father of his two sons; Daniel Drury and Kevin (Sheri) Drury. Cherished brother of sisters Susan (Patrick) Spellman, Barbara (Lynn) Clough, Linda (Chuck) Newman and Trish Franck. Dave was an avid sports fan and was especially a fan of the Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers, the Cleveland Browns and depending on the day, the Green Bay Packers. In celebration of dad’s love of sports we ask that you come celebrate his life wearing the jersey, shirt, hat, or memorabilia of your favorite sports team to the visitation.
Dave was an accomplished singer going back to his childhood in Eau Claire. As an adult he sang with barbershop chorus’ such as The Greendale Village Singers, The New Horizon Singers, and numerous Barbershop Quartets including the Creamer City Clippers and the Four Love of Harmony. Dave also lent his voice to various church choirs including the St Paul’s Catholic church choir. He was also asked to sing for several weddings, birthdays, and even funerals. He would always be willing to join in on any sing along. Dave was a fan of all types of music but was especially fond of jazz. He spent much of his adult life in jazz clubs all over Milwaukee and especially liked “Dixieland jazz”. Dave was also a big fan of plays and musicals. He could recite Broadway shows and the original casts at will and would also sing the songs and recite the dialogue of many of his favorite shows.

Dave was a sweet man who would do anything for anyone. He was “one of the guys” in almost any social gathering and he will be missed by all who knew him.
