Darlene will always be remembered as a wonderful caring friend who would always have a smile on her face even when she was hurting. She’d always be concerned how others were doing and never complained of her own issues. She was such and inspiration of strength and vitality. She will be sadly missed by all of us at North Cape Lutheran Church.

Auntie Darlene was my God-Mother, and to me she was my Fairy God-Mother! She had such a warm caring heart that treated me as her own whenever we were together. I have very fond memories as a young girl camping with her, Uncle Ronnie and their children: Randy, Tammi and Ricky. She taught me many things, including not to dig 6 foot deep holes in the sand at Point Beach State Park, but mostly to love myself and others around me! She comforted me as a struggling teenager with her gentle words of acceptance, open arms, smiles, and bowls of icecream at bedtime! She was always the light to everyone around her! I admired her strength, persistence, energy, genuineness, honesty; and love for life, others, and of God! I am SO Blessed to have had her in my life and she’ll be a part of me and in my heart forever!! Welcome Home Auntie into God’s loving arms!! I love you forever!

Lite a candle on August 8th in memory of my beautiful auntie and God-mother! She is missed so much. I’m grateful she is dancing in Heaven with my mom and dad who joined her in heaven only a few months later… Gods Blessings to the family at this difficult time, as the pain persists but the memories keep us strong and hopeful.

Hi Ron, Randy and all,
Joe and I were so sad when Kathy told us about Darlene. Whenever we went to Hale Park needing something, she always knew how to help us.
I will always remember the nice time we had talking last summer at Russ’s party. It is how I will always remember Darlene-something nice to say with a smile on her face.
Please accept our deepest sympathy,
Joe and Wendy Kopinski
