I first met Sonya when we were 5. She moved into the house next door. We talked over the fence and became friends. It was short lived since we moved away right after that. The neighbor boy (Tony), who had serenaded me with Beatles songs on his basement swing, soon replaced me with Sonya. He sang Elvis songs to her. Many years later in High School we met again in driver’s ed. We were best friends after that. We went to places like Club Morocco. When we became room mates and were pretty broke, Claude would bring us Mrs. Karl’s bread to eat. We put catsup and mustard on the bread and pretended it was a hamburger. Those were the days. I hope all of Claude’s family can remember the good times, and heal as time goes by. Love, Angela (Terry) Babbin

God looked around his garden and he found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this earth, and saw your face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw that the road was getting rough.
And the hills are hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered “Peace be Thine.”
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You are my dad and my hero.
I love and miss you so much Pops!!
With all of my love,
Rose
