Chris William Votsis

Passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the age of 85 years.  Loving husband of Ellen (nee Sivertson) Votsis for over 53 years.  Dear father of Steven Votsis and David (Jacquelyn) Votsis.  Proud grandfather of Cameron Votsis, Madison Votsis, and Brandon Votsis.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William G. Votsis and Sophie Votsis (nee Drellos); his siblings, Peter (Marcy), Angeline (Bernard) Schilz, Lorraine (Raymond) Daehling, James (Francine), Anastasia (Robert) Kane, Georgia (Norman) Gell, Gustave (Judy), John, Mary Harger, and Helen; and his close family friend and sister-in-law, Bob and Alice Syversen.

Visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 11709 W. Cleveland Ave West Allis, WI 53227 on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 10:30 AM.  Graveside services will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Chris was a proud veteran of the US Army, having served from 1960-1966.  He worked for Allis Chalmers in West Allis, WI. as a machinist for 29 years and for the West Allis/West Milwaukee School District for 16 years.

Special thanks to DaVita Southridge Dialysis Center and the wonderful staff at VITAS Inpatient Ruth Hospice for all of their care.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate charitable donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Kidney Fund in memory of Chris.
