On Wednesday July 23, 2014, Charlotte entered her Eternal Home and reunited with her husband of 64 years, Richard. Cherished mother of Ellen (Ken) Buhrandt, and Lon (Sharon) Swatek. Proud and loving grandmother of Megan (fiancé Kjetil Henderson), Eric, Alan and Kelly. Further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Charlotte was a woman ahead of her time, and was always a champion for those less fortunate. She possessed a sharp intellect and wit, and had a strong interest in politics and the world around her. She graduated from UW-Madison and was an avid reader and a gifted political science teacher. Charlotte loved gourmet cooking for her family, and enjoyed hosting fabulous dinner parties. She and Dick loved traveling and visiting the great cathedrals of Europe. Heaven has gained a truly special woman. Private services will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park. If desired, memorials to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
