Smith, Catherine Marie “Kitty”
nee Clark Thursday September 9, 2010 at age 79. Born November 25th 1930 in Ontonagon, MI to Leo and Agnes Clark. Kitty met the love of her life, Jerome Jerry in Milwaukee 60 years ago. They shared a rich and everlasting love. Together they raised their family of 10 children Mary Abe Payrow-Olia, Corinne Michael Multhauf, Yvonne James Knitter, Lawrence MariTess Smith, Naomi Michael Knitter, Christopher Susan Smith, Daniel Carmen Smith, Felecia Alfred III Dark, Michele Kenneth LaBucki, Victoria Eric Zilisch. She is survived by her brothers James E. Clark, Theodore Clark and good friend Sally Stuermer.

Kitty made her children’s clothes, baked her family’s bread, made fabulous meals for all to enjoy. Working and traveling throughout the United States, she and Jerry met many wonderful people and formed lasting friendships. Kitty’s nurturing carried on through her children to produce 25 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and counting.

Kitty still found time to commit to giving to her community as a member of St. Augustine Hippo Ladies Society and the South Side Businessmen’s Ladies Auxiliary and Christian Mothers Society at St. Mary’s now Divine Mercy.

Our family is blessed because of you mom. Your love, selfless and endless care for us will continue through us and our families, as we honor our memories of you, raising our children.

Kitty’s family invites you to celebrate her life with a visitation on Monday, September 13th 4pm – 7pm at Funeral Home and Tuesday from 11-11:30 AM at Divine Mercy Church, 1700 13th Ave, South Milwaukee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon, followed by entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
