Born to eternal life Saturday, February 7, 2026. Loving husband of 49 years to Teresa “Terrie” (nee Potalej). Beloved father of Nicholas (Melissa) Terranova, Lisa (Brad) Henderson, and Gina (Randy) Bieri. Proud grandfather to Brooke, Anna, Jake, Sophia, and Mia. Dear brother of John (the late Josephine). Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

Carmelo is preceded in death by his siblings, Michael, Peter, and Angeline Nelson.

He loved golf, sports, and travel. He was devoted to his family and career as a CNC machinist for Harley Davidson and owned his own motorcycle.

He had a great companion in his dog, Molly for 16 years. Molly followed him everywhere.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 11 am – 12 pm at MOUNT OLIVET CEMETERY – CHAPEL OF ANGELS (3801 W Morgan Ave, Milwaukee) with committal prayers to follow at 12 pm.
