Passed away after a battle with cancer on October 24th 2011. Born on October 2, 1920, he is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Johanna nee Peukert. He was an exemplary Father to the late Carlton, Jr. Lucy, Tom Sandy, John Sara and Gary Peggy. Grandfather of Lisa Tom, Craig Denise, Bryan Breanna, Mark Yasmin, Simon Alexis, Julia Rob, Joe and Jen. Great -Grandfather of Ryan, Katie, Luke, Angelina, Chase, Zoey, Phoebe, Juno, Celine and Ryan. Visitation Fri. Oct. 28th, 2- 3:45 PM with funeral services at 4 PM at JACKSON PARK LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4535 W. Oklahoma Ave. Interment Mon. 1 PM at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery. Carl fought in World War II with the 14th Air Force Flying Tigers. He was stationed in China and a prisoner of war for thirty-eight days. He received his Masters from the General Motors Institute of Technology and worked for AC Spark Plug/Delco where he worked on the guidance system for Gemini Space Program. After retirement he volunteered for the International Executive Service Corporation, going to Taiwan, India and Poland. He was a member of Jackson Park Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council and a member of the Usher Guild. He served on the Greenfield School Board; and was a member of the West Allis Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rites Tripoli Shrine Center, the Jesters and Sojourners, facets of the Shriners. Memorials to the Shriners’ Children Hospital of Chicago or Jackson Park Lutheran Church appreciated.
