Bruce A. Brennan

Bruce A. Brennan, age 78, passed away leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and countless memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Born and raised in Northern Wisconsin, Bruce proudly served in the United States Army before beginning the next chapter of his life: working hard, raising a family, and building a life in Whitewater, Wisconsin. He spent much of his working career with USF Holland before retiring in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

Bruce was a man with a sharp wit, a sarcastic sense of humor, and a way of keeping people on their toes. He loved to laugh, and those who knew him will remember his quick comebacks and unmistakable personality. Beneath that sarcasm was a man with a big heart, especially when it came to his children. There was very little he wouldn’t do for them, and his love for his family was one of the most defining parts of his life.

Bruce had a soft spot for animals and found enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life. He loved cooking, gardening, and traveling, and he had a lifelong appreciation for history. He was also a force to be reckoned with when it came to Trivial Pursuit and Jeopardy. If there was a question to answer or a fact to share, Bruce was likely ready with the answer—and probably a comment or two to go along with it.

Bruce is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Brennan of 56 years; his children, Brian Brennan (Emilee), Kelly Griffey (Ben), and Shana Natrop (Jason); his grandchildren, Adrienne Deming (Cody), Alexander Streske (Emily), Andrew Streske (Emily), and Joseph Brennan; and four great-grandchildren, who carry forward his family legacy.

Bruce leaves behind a lifetime of memories, lessons, laughter, and stories that will continue to be shared around family tables and in conversations for years to come. He will be missed for his humor, remembered for his generous heart, and loved always by the family who meant so much to him.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th, from 10:30-11:30am at St. Matthew Parish (9303 S Chicago Rd, Oak Creek).  A Mass of Christian Burial will promptly begin at 11:30am.
