A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with a service at 1:00pm at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME 4800 S. 84th St. Greenfield, WI 53228.
Brian S. Wollert of Milwaukee, WI passed away unexpectedly on March 12th 2026 at the age of 65. He passed away alongside his loving wife Staci Retting.
Brian leaves behind his two daughters Nicole (George) Albrent and Heidi Wollert (Josuha). Proud grandfather of his four grandchildren Brianna Mae, Grant, Jaiden and Wyatt. Survived by siblings Lori, Vincent and James. Brian is further survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his former spouse of many years Theresa Wollert.
He was preceded in death by his parents (Harold and Darlene Wollert), niece (Kirstyn Wollert) and so many good friends.
Brian was larger than life and had a way of drawing people in. Seeing him walk in a room and watching people smile excited to see him, even if you were mad at him you couldn’t help it. He made friends with everyone wherever he went. He looked at his friends as family and was always surrounded by many of them. He thrived on adventure and having a good time.
He was a Union Ironworker with Local 8, which he was so proud of. During this time he worked on landmark projects like Miller Park, Calatrava and the Midwest Express Center. His work on those projects will live on long after he has left this earth and many people will enjoy and marvel at those landmarks, enjoying a part of him in the process.
He however did not have a carefree life he was plagued with addiction and at points that beast took him over, then there would be a glimmer of hope, a great memory and a fun time. Ultimately that plague would take him from us,from all of us.
