Bonny Ann Freimund-Raison
Bonny Ann Freimund-Raison touched countless lives with her joyful spirit, generous heart, and gift for filling a room with laughter. She believed life was meant to be enjoyed and wanted nothing more than to see the people she loved smiling. Her wonderful sense of humor brought light to everyday moments, while her kindness made others feel seen, cared for, and welcome. Bonny spoke with honesty and offered clear guidance whenever someone needed it, but beneath every word was a mother’s deep and unwavering love. Through every season of life, she was always there for her children.
Bonny found happiness in the things that made life colorful and fun. She loved the suspense of horror movies and psychological thrillers, the quiet satisfaction of watching her garden grow because of her tending and care, and found peace “coloring” on her iPad. She was also especially fond of shopping – whether it was for clothes or for the “treasures” she found on Temu.
But at the heart of Bonny’s life was her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Joel Raison, and a loving mother to Brooke, Nadia, Dylan, and Devin.
Bonny’s love reached far beyond the walls of her own home. Her daughters’ friends affectionately called her “Mom”—a simple name that spoke volumes about the comfort, acceptance, and care she gave so freely. To be welcomed by Bonny was to feel as though you belonged. She also expressed her love through food. An excellent cook, Bonny gathered people around the table—some of her most popular dishes being cabbage and noodles, chili, goulash, shepherd’s pie, and party or “funeral” potatoes. Those familiar dishes will forever carry the warmth of her kitchen and the memory of the love she put into every meal.
Bonny is further survived by her brother, Philip Freimund Jr. as well as nieces and nephews, other relatives, and the many friends whose lives are richer for having known her. Each carries a special memory of her laughter, her honesty, and the love she shared so generously.
Bonny’s unexpected death on October 2, 2026, leaves an ache that words cannot fully express, but the love she gave will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered in shared laughter, honest advice, favorite meals, blooming gardens, and every moment that brings a smile. Her lively spirit, steadfast devotion, and generous heart are the legacy her family and friends will carry with them always.
Family and friends will gather at Heritage Funeral Home, 9200 S. 27th Street in Oak Creek on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM. There will be a time to celebrate Bonny’s life at 5:00 PM. Family and friends are encouraged to prepare something to share – it can be a poem, a funny story, a special memory or a way that Bonny made a difference in your life.
