Betty valued family most. Raising her six children, helping out at their schools and seeing them grow was her greatest joy. Family all remembers how she enjoyed making special, theme birthday cakes for her children and the parties. She loved theatre, travel, and dancing with Herbie. Later in life she became a professional tour escort for 26 years and discovered another joy. She, sometimes with Herbert, traveled and saw the world. Betty lived through the highs and lows of life. She lived it to the fullest. She believed “Grief never ends, but it changes. It is a passage not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, or a lack of faith. It is the price of love.”

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Matthias Church are appreciated.

    Dear Family,
I offer all of you my prayers and sympathy at the death of your beloved Mother. I pray that Betty is now at full rest, in peace and happiness, in Heaven, with our beloved Father Almighty. She has earned her spot with the Lord. I am offering Mass for Betty, and I pray also for ALL of you, that you have some comfort and peace at this time of loss and death.

What a great Lady Betty was, no need to tell all of you! I was blessed to know your Mother for many years as a Marianist Affiliate. She was so faithful to the Milwaukee group, and so generous with her time and talents in helping the group. May she rest in great peace, and may Jesus and Mary Bless her.

    with loving care and prayer,

    fr Al McMenamy

Betty, Herbert, and all of you were so wonderful to me when I was a nursing student in Milwaukee and I enjoyed a lasting, close relationship with you all, especially your Mom after my school days were over. I don’t even know how many ” generations removed” as cousins we all were, but I’ll always cherish my relationships, interactions, and visits with Betty, Herbert, and you all. Lots of good memories. Know that you’re all in my thoughts and prayers.
