Rude, Betty Ann (nee Stevens) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 age 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Robert for 62 years. Loving and caring mother of Marilyn (Michael) Gliszinski and Jeffrey (Jean) Rude. Grandmother of Jaclyn (Kevin) Mouradian, Eric Rude, and Corrie (Christopher) Fischer. Great-grandmother of Katianna Mouradian and Russell Fischer. Preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Betty is also survived by her Grand dog, Diva, who always looked forward to visits at Grandma’s house.  There were always treats available and a special window for squirrel watching.

Betty was a “rummager extraordinaire” – she was able to spot a rummage sale sign with eagle-eye precision.  She will miss those excursions.

Betty was a great cook and could knit, crochet, and sew – sometimes without a pattern.  Her handiwork was shared with family and friends.  Her rhubarb jam was gifted to many.

Travel fascinated Betty – evident by her many trips and Las Vegas.  There were always new things to see and do.  She always embraced them.

The family would like to acknowledge her neighbors and friends who helped keep her independent until her time on this earth was up.  We thank Scott, Valerie, Peter, Jackie, Toni, Cassandra, Travis, Oliver, Iris, Cecelia, Nicole and family, Jill, Nick, Sam, Stacey, Carol, and Mark.

Special thanks to Lisa from Right at Home for stepping up with her amazing staff to provide home care.  Heartfelt thanks are extended to Nicole, Cassandra, Shamiah, and Leanne.  You all are truly heaven-sent.

For this celebration of Betty’s life, if you so desire, please write a memory of Betty to share it with the family.  We will read them and reminisce at a later date.

Betty was a retiree of AC Spark Plug working on the Gemini Space Program. In lieu of flowers memorials to the charity of your choice appreciated. Visitation will take place on Monday, March 28, 2022 at THE FUNERAL HOME from 3:30pm until the time of service at 6pm. Private family inurnment at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Thoughts and prayers to Marilyn, Jeff and Families…
She was a fabulous woman who I will miss greatly. I will miss our Tuesday night pizza nights! I will you every single day. Looking out the front window and knowing that you are not across the street is so hard.
I know you are with Bob now, but know that the people that are here will miss you very much. Until we meet again my friend…
