Barbara Louise Richards (nee Branch)

Baptized into life on April 22, 1939 at Augustana Lutheran Church in Sioux City, Iowa. Passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at age 84 as a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hartland, Wisconsin. She was married on August 24,1985 to Alton Richards and fulfilled her dream of having a family. Dear mother of Suzan (Paul) Thomsen, Syndi (Tom) Poling, Ronald Richards, and Sandra (Ed) Garcia.  Beloved grandmother to 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Loving sister of Harriet (John) Johnson. Cherished aunt of her nephew and godson Jon “Chris” (Kathy) Johnson and her niece, DeAnne (Paul) Leverence. Further survived by many other great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Barbara loved her Lord, her family, her friends, crocheting, reading, and working with her family’s genealogy.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 2 pm – 3 pm at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME (16880 W National Ave New Berlin) with a funeral service to follow at 3 pm. Interment will take place on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the VILLAGE OF HARTLAND CEMETERY (416 W Capitol Dr. Hartland) at 11 am.
