 Audrey E. Gaertig (nee Salchow)

Born to Eternal Life on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at age 81. Beloved wife to the late Howard. Further survived by her nephew, Mark (Kim) Hoeft; her niece, Leann Hoeft, and other loving family. 

Preceded in death by her husband, her sister, Shirley (Lester) Hoeft; and her nephew, Kevin Hoeft.

Audrey was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and sang in many choirs to express the love she had for the Lord.

Visitation will take place on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 12pm – 1 pm at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK – CHAPEL OF FLOWERS (13235 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield) with a service to follow at 1pm. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. John’s Lutheran Church- Milwaukee are appreciated. 

Family would like to extend a special thank you to Gene Huth who spent many countless hours helping her throughout the years, her godson, Donald Sievert and his sister, Debbie Sievert, who loved and cared for her, the staff at Franciscan Villa where she spent the last years of her life, and the staff at Zilber Family Hospice for their care during her final hours.
