Tellier, Arno Clarence
Was born Aug. 20, 1917 in Milwaukee, WI to Peter and Marie Tellier. He was a graduate of Washington High School and was active in church work from the time he was confirmed. Arno served as an officer of the Walther League and President of the Christian Service Secretaries of Milwaukee. During this time he and Helen met at Concordia College.
Arno was with the Army Engineers for 4 ½ years serving in Panama, Aberdeen, Maryland, and on Governor’s Island in New York City during WWII.
Arno received his apprenticeship and became a lithographer, a position he held for 38 years.
He is past president of Hampton Heights Church, Gloria Dei Church, and Mt. Lebanon. He taught Sunday School for 10 years.
Hobbies were a joy to Arno. He loved gardening, photography, raising fish and canaries. He won many awards all over the US and Canada. He enjoyed raising violets and was a member of Milw. African Violet Society and African Violet Society of America.
He and his family enjoyed camping in various places in the USA. He had many interesting experiences in his life and a true love for the Lord.
Arno and Helen have 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
A visitation will take place Thurs. from 10-11AM at St. Jacobi Lutheran Church, 8605 W. Forest Home Ave. A Funeral Service will follow at 11AM. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park.
