(Nee Lutzke)

Arlene went home to be with her Savior on April 2, 2022 at the age of 90 years.  Loving wife of Andrew for 52 years.  Cherished mother of Kathleen (Thom) Stys, Susan (Bill) Fischer, Deborah (Tim) Hetrick, and Beth (Ed) Pietrzykowski.  Loving Nana to Aaron (Michelle), Becky, Lauren, Patrick, Ryan, Joe, Timothy, Ellie, Katie and Ben.  Proud great-grandmother to Grant and Autumn.

She is also survived by her sister Sandra Libby, and many other relatives and friends.

Arlene was born to Alvin and Olga Lutzke in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Her parents and older sister Dolores York, preceded her in death.  Arlene graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School in 1949 and from Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in 1953.

Arlene was a caring, Christian woman who loved her Lord.  This love was evident to anyone she met, including the many patients she cared for during her 50+ years as a registered nurse.  She loved to sing, and she was a member of several church choirs and the Lutheran Hour Choir radio program. After her retirement, she was a devoted volunteer with Meals on Wheels.

Arlene and Andrew enjoyed many wonderful trips together across the United States and Europe.  She and Andrew made many visits to his family in England and Ireland throughout the years, and they also enjoyed Riverboat European cruises together.  They were also blessed to be able to spend their winters in Bradenton, Florida for almost 30 years.

Most of all, Arlene loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 9th, at St. Jacobi Lutheran Church (8605 W Forest Home Ave, Greenfield) from 10am-12pm. A memorial service will follow at 12pm. If so desired, memorials in Arlene’s name are greatly appreciated to St. Jacobi Lutheran Church or to a charity of your choice.
