Died peacefully on January 17, 2013. Beloved husband of Grace (nee Conigliaro) for 62 years. Loving Father of Steve (Merica) Erato, Chris (Dave) Keith, Marian (Lou) Frigo, Julie (Tom) Gracia, Mike (Cindy) Erato, Margaret (Bob) Livingston, Joe (Sue) Erato and Annie (Al) Ruka. Dearest Grandpa of the late Vincent Erato, Jordan Kabke, Italia and Grace Erato, Angelo Keith, Nick (Mary) Keith, Hillary Keith (Chris Watry), the late Joseph O’Brien III, Maggie O’Brien, Thomas and Stephen Gracia, Val and Gina Erato, Adam (Cristen) Darby, Michael Darby, Rob Livingston, Leah (Tom) Peterka, Joey (Cassie) Erato, Hailey Erato, Michael, Andrew and Julia Ruka. Dear Great-Grandpa of the late Keaton Whalen, Joseph O’Brien IV, Sophia Ferrari, Kaleb Gorman, Michael Darby II, Teddy and Jack Watry, Brendan and Amanda West, Wyatt Keith, Isabella, Guiseppe, Giovanni and Giorgio Erato. Caring Brother of the late Frank (the late Mary), the late Victor (the late Frances), Anthony (the late Rose), (Rosann Lahr), Michael (Mary) and Salvatore (Rosemary) Erato. Brother-in-law of Murray (the late Mary) Brant. Fondly remembered and loved by many nieces, nephews and friends. Angelo is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Mary Erato and his in-laws, Vincent and Ethel Conigliaro. Angelo loved his family and enjoyed any time they came to visit. He appreciated the routine of watching his brothers bowl, enjoyed lively discussions about politics, and anything and everything. He looked forward to his California vacations to visit the Carinis, who treated him royally, as well as seeing his old buddies at the Navy Reunions. Angelo was a proud Navy veteran, who served on the USS Weber during WWII. Thanks to all the good people who prayed for Angelo. Heartfelt gratitude to Sue Kangas and the staff of Season’s Hospice. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to The Vincent Erato Foundation or Pro-Life Wisconsin appreciated.
Visitation will be held on Monday, from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM at PRINCE OF PEACE/PRINCIPE DE PAZ CHURCH (1138 S. 25th St.). Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:30 PM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
