Visitation Monday, July 6, 2020 from 11:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1927 N. 4th Street. Following the Mass, we will meet at Forest Home Cemetery for the burial service.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND THE VISITATION AND/OR MASS, PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING:

The Church is complying with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, health department requirements and CDC guidelines, s, to protect visitors and staff from exposure to COVID-19. As a condition of entering the Church, you agree to wear a mask that properly covers your mouth and nose, observe proper social distancing (staying at least 6 feet away from others not from your household) and to follow instructions on signage and from Church staff, ushers, and funeral home staff regarding interaction with others and safe distancing.

The Church asks that you not attend if you have or have had in the past 14 days a cough, fever, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, flu-like symptoms, gastrointestinal upset, or experienced a loss of taste or smell. Also, you are advised that if you are aged 65 and over or if you have any health risks that put you are at greater risk of serious illness or death if you contract COVID-19.

Regardless of our adherence to CDC and health department requirements and recommendations, there is a risk of COVID-19 exposure whenever you enter into a public space or building with other people. Please do not attend the visitation or Mass unless you are willing to assume that risk.

In order to comply with guidelines, the Church is allowed to have a maximum of 100 people in the Church at any time. If the Church is at this capacity when you arrive, you will be asked to wait outside until someone leaves. For this reason – and to minimum exposure, you are asked to pay your respects to the family and exit the Church. If you are planning to attend the Mass, please do not arrive until closer to Mass time. Seating priority at Mass will be given to the family. We ask your patience and cooperation, the above rules are for everyone’s protection.

America Medina Born in Florida, Puerto Rico on December 4, 1935 and Born to Eternal Life in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin on June 27, 2020.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ricardino Medina and Agustina Rivera, siblings Manuel, Gloria, and Francisco Medina, and grandson Vidal E. Muniz.

She is the cherished mother of Vidal Muniz, Jr. Beloved grandmother of Daniel A. Muniz. Proud great-grandmother of Lissette I. Conrad-Muniz, Tiara Diamondelight Kronquist, Kamari Parise, and Enrique Parise. Loving sister of Ricardo, Carmelo, Sonia and Wilfredo Medina. America is further survived by loving cousins, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good and dear friends.
