Allen A. Pauer
Passed away on Wednesday November 8, 2023, at age 100 years. Dear husband of the late Virginia. Father of Janet (Don) Kvamme, Michael, the late Jeffrey, Chris (Karen) Pauer and Lonnie (Paul) Jones. Grandfather of Chris, Mike, Jenny, John, Sydnie, Tia and Derek. Brother of Tom, Jerry and Gloria. Also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Allen enjoyed people and sharing stories all his life. He endured some tough conditions in his early age, but became a successful small business owner of Ace Carbonic Gas Co. for over 50 years. Allen served in the Army Air Forces during World War II as a navigator on B-17 bombers. Allen greatly enjoyed golf, the friends he had on and off the course, and raw onion and liverwurst sandwiches, as evidenced by the presents at his 100th birthday party.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, November 27th, from 10 AM – 11:30 AM, at the funeral home. Memorial Service to follow at 11:30 AM. Inurnment and Military Honors at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Please accept my condolences on the passing of your father. My name is Vicki (Pauers) Depies. Please forgive me if I am out of line at this sad time, but I have a question for you. My father’s name is Robert F. Pauers, son of Albert William Pauers. Due to the similarity of our surnames, I am wondering whether or not we may be related. My dad passed in 2010 at the age of 87 years. There are many variations of our surname in my family tree. Allen has striking similarities in appearance to both my dad and grandfather. Again, please forgive me if I am out of line.
