I first met Herb Cohen in 1999 when he was working as a patient transporter and I was a radiologist at St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee. I chatted with him often at that time and in the years since when I ran into him many times at Bayshore Mall. He always had stories to tell about growing up in the Boston area, his experiences in the Navy during the Korean War, his jobs in hospitals and as a bus driver for the JCC, and his family today. I always enjoyed my conversations with him and found him to be a very pleasant, friendly, and outgoing person. I will miss him very much, and my deepest sympathies go out to his family.
