Kathleen Ann Syty (nee: Kreuser)
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2022 at the age of 86.
Beloved wife of the late Wallace “Wally” Syty for 63 years. Loving daughter of Herbert and Esther (nee: Geschke) Kreuser. Kathleen is survived by two sons Glen and John (Laura) Syty, her endearing grandsons Richard and William Syty, her loving brother Thomas (Carol) Kreuser and their children Debbie, Jennifer, Timothy and Grant.
Kathleen was a loving mother, grandmother and sister, as well as a loved and special Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Kathy gave the best and biggest heartfelt hugs.
She always kept her cupboard and freezer well stocked with goodies for her neighbor children Kurt and Jenny Lekschas. She had a very special relationship with their parents Helmut and Judy Lekschas and felt like they were more like family than neighbors as they would celebrate Christmas Eve together.
Kathleen loved her chocolates and watching Saturday Night Live with her dog Buddy by her side. Kathy was a lover of many things; coloring, puzzles, shopping at 7-Mile Fair (since 1961), South Ridge Mall and rummage sales. Following all of her shopping excursions she became a “professional” collector of many fine things including crystal vases, new and antique salt & pepper shakers and beautiful holiday ornaments, along with owls, pigs and butterflies. Kathleen was a loving and giving woman who was very much loved and will be dearly missed.
p.s. She may have a mansion in Heaven but she doesn’t need the stuff anymore!
