I have known Darla and Gerry since their boys were very little and I was one of their Sunday School teachers. Darla was always so appreciative of those who ministered to her children, and she blessed me with baked goods. She has always been one of my heroes, for her deep level of consecration and service under extremely difficult circumstances; an amazingly humble lady who did the extraordinary because of a willing heart and unshakable faith.
