Jon-Erik
Klaus

Jon-Erik “Big Red” age 35, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday September 9, 2018 of cardiac arrest. He was with his best friends, Luke Chapman and Chad Murrell, in a place he loved the most when he left us all too soon. He is survived by his parents Warren and Karen Klaus, sisters Brittany Crothers (Robert) and Kara Matuszewski (Jason), nephews, JoJo and Isaiah Crothers and new niece, Eloise “Elmo” Crothers. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Jon graduated from St. Catherine’s Grade School on 51st and Center, and Pius XI High School in Milwaukee. Jon was a hardworking tradesman, most recently employed with Common Links Construction and a member of the Milwaukee Painters Local Union No. 781.

Jon was a proud member of the Amelia’s Anglers. It is an understatement to say that he was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the great outdoors. He lived a full life in a short span of time.

Jon was a gentle giant. He is loved by many and has left a gaping hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He will be incredibly missed. Life will never be the same without “Big Red”.

In lieu of sending flowers, Jon would want you to bait a hook, pitch a cast and drink a beer! We love you Jon…Godspeed!

Visitation will take place at Heritage Funeral Homes, 16880 W. National Ave. New Berlin, WI 53151 on Saturday, September 15th from 11AM-2PM.
